Golden Milk, also known as “Tumeric Tea” has been a long time favorite of mine for its ability to clear mucus, prevent colds, ease joint pain and fight off depression. Tumeric contains curcumin, a naturally occurring chemical compound that has anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effects. Research shows that curcumin suppresses the initiation, progression, and metastasis of a variety of tumors. I have a couple of family members who have been diagnosed with cancer, so anything with anti-cancer properties has me screaming, “Yes, please!”
I mentioned on Instagram that I have been adding more adaptogens to my diet so, I was thrilled when Moondeli sent me some of their Golden Tumeric to try. Moondeli’s Golden Tumeric is vegan, organic, non-GMO, gluten-free and sugar free. Matcha latte’s are one of my favorites so, I decided to give their Golden Tumeric Latte a try.Forget coffee. Moondeli Tumeric Latte
- 1 cup of nut milk (I used Califia Farms Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk)
- 2 teaspoons of Moondeli’s Golden Turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon of your favorite sweetener (I used Madhava Organic, Golden Light Blue Agave)
Warm your nut milk in a small saucepan. Remove the saucepan from the heat once you start to see steam. Add the Golden Turmeric and a sweetener of your choice. Whisk to combine. (I prefer to use a frother.) Serve and enjoy!
