What better way to kick off Spring Break than with some fun, healthy food? On April 11, 2017, I appeared on Good Morning Washington for #TasteTestTuesday to showcase some of my favorite family-friendly, plant-based dishes.

We sailed into this segment with my papaya boats, cantaloupe smoothie bowls and quinoa pineapple boats. Stay tuned for the full recipes for the cantaloupe bowls and quinoa pineapple boats.

I explained the benefits of each dish, and showcased a few ingredients that will be sure to help you increase your intake of plant-based protein. Autria seemed to really love the coconut yogurt. My favorite brand is COYO. If you live in the DC area, you can grab COYO at MOM’s Organic Market or Yes! Organic Market.

“Quinoa in a pineapple? 

I think Kidd was lowkey giving me the “side-eye” when I told him that I put fried quinoa in a pineapple. In the end, I think I won him over after I explained my “why.”
